Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America Joins America’s Job Creators for a Strong Recovery

WASHINGTON, D.C., 05/27/2021 – Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) today announced its participation in America’s Job Creators for a Strong Recovery – a new coalition group of dozens of associations dedicated to the opposition of tax increases on American-owned businesses that have the potential to reduce jobs and hamper COVID-19 recovery efforts in industries hit hardest by the pandemic.

“American family-owned businesses, like our members and their employees are in a delicate position as the nation emerges from the economic turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said WSWA Executive Vice President of Government Affairs and member of the coalition’s Steering Committee Dawson Hobbs. “The Administration’s current proposal of tax increases on family-owned businesses has the potential to stall the economic recovery of an already struggling hospitality industry and harm American job creators.”

The coalition is a broad collection of associations representing individual and family-owned businesses and corporations that oppose tax increases that would stall the economic recovery of American businesses rather than fuel it and counteract the economic benefits of smart infrastructure planning.

Current members of the coalition include: American Hotel and Lodging Association, American Rental Association, American Supply Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Association for Hose and Accessories Distribution (NAHAD), Auto Care Association, Brick Industry Association, Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, Foodservice Equipment Distributors Association (FEDA), Heating, Air-conditioning, & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI), Independent Bakers Association, Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC), International Dairy Foods Association, International Foodservice Distributors Association,

International Franchise Association, Material Handling Equipment Distributors Association (MHEDA), National Association of Electrical Distributors, National Association of Professional Insurance Agents, National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers, National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors, National Grocers Association, National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, Petroleum Equipment Institute, Security Hardware Distributors Association, S-Corp Association, Textile Care Allied Trades Association, The Fertilizer Institute, Truck Renting and Leasing Association, Water and Sewer Distributors of America (WASDA), Wholesale Florist & Florist Supplier Association (WF&FSA) and Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA).
